Dear Redeemer Community,

<p><span style="font-size: 16pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;"><span style="font-size: small;"></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Dear Redeemer Community,</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">How often do we as Christians watch the world news and, when confronted by overwhelming spiritual and physical need, yearn for a practical way to help those who suffer?<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>In their study of World Geography this year, Redeemer seventh graders will investigate the wonders of God’s perfect creation, but also face the difficulties created by sinful men living in a fallen world.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Hopefully, these young people will experience the same desire as you and I – the desire to help others.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">In an attempt to connect with those in need, the 7th graders will be choosing a third world entrepreneur to microfinance through Hope International.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>When microfinancing, a donor gives a small loan to an individual interested in starting a cottage industry.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>The individual repays the loan while the donor tracks the progress of the business and the repayment process.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>As a class, we will choose the country, industry, and individual with whom we will partner and check weekly on the progress being made.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">   </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">On October 22nd, the 7th graders hosted a “Fast for the World Day”.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>On that day, students, faculty, staff, and administration chose to donate to our project the money with which they would normally buy their Chick-fil-A lunch.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>During the Logic and Rhetoric lunches that day, the 7th graders served a choice of white or brown rice as a substitute.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>One bowl of rice is often the only meal many poverty stricken children have to sustain them daily. God blessed this day and we were able to raise $725.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Please consider supporting this worthy endeavor. Should you wish to give or if you have a business that would like to match donations, we would be thrilled! As the loan or loans are repaid, we will lend the money afresh to a new entrepreneur. Let’s see how many people Redeemer students can help this year!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Sincerely,</span></p>
