The school currently employs over 35 full and part-time faculty and administrative staff, together possessing more than 50 academic degrees. Each one is highly qualified and a committed Christian, dedicated to helping students develop godly character and equipping them for academic distinction. Every teacher and staff member confesses a living faith in Jesus Christ and supports the tenants of the Westminster Confession of Faith. Head of School – Dr. Jacqueline Hutcheson
Ph.D. Applied Developmental Psychology, University of Maryland Baltimore County; B.A. Psychology, Biola University, La Mirada, California. Dr. Hutcheson is a licensed developmental psychologist, has held numerous relevant positions in the education and psychology fields, and is an accomplished author and presenter on field related subjects. Dr. Hutcheson’s abilities and efforts have been recognized by the Society of Pediatric Psychology in 1989 and 1992. She has led the school since its inception in 1996.
Dean of Grammar School, Admissions Director - Mrs. Deborah Glasgow
M.S. Reading, The Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland; B.S. Early Childhood Education, Towson State University, Towson, Maryland. Redeemer benefits from Mrs. Glasgow’s more than twenty years of a variety of experiences at all levels of education. Mrs. Glasgow has held teaching positions at prominent institutions, such as The McDonogh School, Jemicy School and Towson University. She is an accomplished author and conference speaker. In addition to using her gifts in Administration in Redeemer’s Grammar School, Mrs. Glasgow is a master “teacher of teachers” and directs our admissions efforts, as she recruits and tests potential students in her capacity of Admissions Director.
Dean of Logic and Rhetoric Schools – Mr. David Feeney
B.S. Political Science, St. Mary’s University. Prior to coming to Redeemer as Dean of the Logic and Rhetoric Schools in the fall of 2004, he worked in several business and managerial positions. Previously known to our students as “Coach Feeney”, Mr. Feeney has helped develop our athletic programs since the fall of 1999. In the past, he served as an interim Latin teacher at RCCS and on the Board of Directors (2002-2004). He has chaired the Student Life Committee since the fall of 2003.
Business/Facilities Manager, Athletic Director - Mr. Art Broadwick
B.S./B.A. Accounting, Robert Morris University. Mr. Broadwick is a CPA, certified in the State of Maryland. For 12 years, he worked for the State Retirement and Pension Systems of Maryland, the last 7 of which he served as the Deputy Chief Financial Officer. A parent representative on the Board of Directors during the school’s first 3 years of existence, he has served on the Finance Committee for most of the Committee’s existence. Mr. Broadwick has also been on the forefront of the development of the school’s athletic program, chairing the Athletic Committee for all 7 years of its existence.
College Guidance, Forensic Science, Drama, Sr. Independent Study – Mrs. Lisa Haley
M.S. Forensic Chemistry, University of Pittsburgh; B. S., Chemistry, Valparaiso University. Having been published in a number of scholarly journals, Mrs. Haley comes to Redeemer with teaching experience at the college level and with experience gained from a variety of positions in both the public and private sectors. She has also directed and acted in several dramatic productions.

Mrs. Deborah Glasgow - Dean of Grammar School
Pre-K 3 & Kindergarten - Mrs. Debbie Seibert
B.A. Music, California State University of Fresno, CA. Mrs. Seibert has 10 years of experience in the field of early childhood, for many years, both teaching and directing a Christian preschool program in Washington State. Her experience and education in the area of music has prepared her to lead our choirs and to teach summer vocal workshops.
Pre-K 4 – Mrs. Claire Hogan
B.A. Elementary Education, Loyola College. Mrs. Claire Hogan teaches our 4-year-olds preschool class. An experienced educator, Mrs. Hogan formerly taught at Roland Park Country School for 10 years. She has her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Loyola College, and has taken several graduate courses at Towson University in education.
1st Grade – Ms. Rebecca Stevenson
B.A. Elementary Education, Eastern University. Miss Stevenson earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Eastern University, where she was honored as a Presidential Scholar. She has experience in both the public and the private sector, in grades Kindergarten through 3. Her ability to work with older students has been demonstrated through a variety of venues in the church and on the mission field, where she also has developed her proficiency in Spanish.
1st Grade Teacher's Assistant – Mrs. Jean Withers
B.S., Towson State University, Maryland. Mrs. Withers offers Redeemer a number of years of private preschool and kindergarten experience. In addition to her formal classroom experience, Mrs. Withers brings a number of years of experience as a Sunday school teacher. She joined RCCS in its first year as a teacher and served as our Athletic Program Coordinator for several years.
2nd Grade – Mrs. Cheryl Jaus
B.A. Early Childhood Education, Towson State University. Mrs. Jaus has a Bachelor’s of Arts in the area of Early Childhood education from Towson State University. Prior to joining Redeemer in 1999, she taught second grade for two years, home educated her two sons over a period of 13 years, and has taught in a number of educational ministries at her church as well as home school co-op classes. Mrs. Jaus comes to Redeemer with particular strength in the area of phonics.
3rd Grade – Mrs. Susan Pattison
B.A. Elementary Education, A.A. Early Childhood Education, Covenant College, Lookout Mtn., Georgia. Mrs. Pattison came to Redeemer in 1999 with over 10 years experience in working with children through Christian education programs in her church. She received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Covenant College in Georgia, where she was certified to teach. Her giftedness in the area of music enhances her ability to apply the classical model in the classroom.
4th Grade – Mrs. Terry Kittle
B.A., Towson State University. In addition to her undergraduate degree, Mrs. Kittle has completed postgraduate courses in Greek, French, Spanish and Special Education. Mrs. Kittle brings eleven years of formal classroom experience and a number of years of Sunday school experience to Redeemer. In addition to teaching in the grammar school, since 1997, she has taught Latin in the summer, upper school French and is developing a specialized Latin program for the Grammar School.
5th Grade Teacher – Mrs. Jane Brooks
M. Equivalency Certification, Johns Hopkins University; B.S. Special Education, Bloomsburg State College, PA. Mrs. Brooks has her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, her Master’s Equivalency Certification from Johns Hopkins University, and is certified by the State of Maryland. A member of the Council for Exceptional Children, she has over 19 years of teaching experience in Harford County.
6th Grade Teacher – Mrs. Ann Pfeifer
B.A. Bible, Lancaster Bible College. Mrs. Pfeifer brings a rich background of experience to Redeemer. She has taught pre-school, and kindergarten, home schooled her own three children, and has led a number of educational ministries at her church. After receiving a Bachelors of Science degree in the area of Bible, Mrs. Pfeifer was employed as a middle school teacher. She brings her strong love of history and literature to Redeemer.
6th Grade – Mrs. Pamela Runge
B.A. Early Childhood Education, Towson University, Maryland. Mrs. Runge’s background includes classroom and home school experience, and teaching both Latin and our distinctive writing program, Institutes of Excellence in Writing, which makes her an excellent fit for our school. Mrs. Runge joined RCCS in the Fall of 2007 to teach our second section of 6th grade.
Art Teacher – Mrs. Gwen Cicone
B.A. Fine Arts, M.A. Education. Mrs. Cicone’s educational background has prepared her well for her current role as lead Art teacher for RCCS. Prior to coming to Redeemer in the fall of 1998, Mrs. Cicone taught art in both public school and home school arenas. She is an artist herself, and has been quite successful in producing and showing her artwork in a variety of festivals and shows over the years. Mrs. Cicone is also active in her church, teaching Sunday School and leading Women’s groups. Mrs. Cicone has developed most of Redeemer’s art curriculum.
Music Teacher - Mrs. Lauren Shaver
M.S. Music Education, Towson State University, Maryland; B.S. Music Education, Towson State University, Maryland. Holding her certificate in Music education for grades K-12 in Maryland, Mrs. Shaver brings many years of combined public and private teaching experience to Redeemer. She has also served as a church Music Director and gives private lessons in piano and voice. Mrs. Shaver’s work is included in the MacMillian music series, Music and You. A founding teacher and Board member at Redeemer, she is working on developing a music education program for Classical schools.
Instrumental Music – Mr. Wade Zagurski
B.S. Instrumental Music Education, Towson State University. Mr. Zagurski is the Founder and Director of Sound Opportunities Music Instruction. Mr. Zagurski brings a number of years of music instruction experience. In recognition of his accomplishments, Mr. Zagurski was honored with the Supervisor’s Teacher of the Year Award in 1991. Mr. Zagurski is also active in the music team at his church.

Mr. David Feeney - Dean of Logic and Rhetoric Schools
Mr. Warren Baliey – Math, U.S. History, & Logic
B.A. English, University of Maryland Baltimore County. Mr. Bailey has a Bachelor’s degree in English from UMBC, and has worked with youth in several capacities. He also has received high honors through the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. In addition to teaching, Mr. Bailey oversees the Student Government, Yearbook, and Technology programs at RCCS.
Mrs. Terry Cellini – Civics, & Modernity
B.A. History, College of Notre Dame, Baltimore, Maryland; A.A. History, Harford Community College. After beginning her career in the corporate world and spending a year as in intern for the Honorable Robert L. Ehrlich Jr., Mrs. Cellini began her teaching experience as a volunteer with a number of educational institutions, both private and public. Mrs. Cellini has served as a panelist on “The Round Table”, a weekly political debate program produced for cable television.
Mrs. Lori Chesser – Math & Logic
B.S., Bob Jones University. Mrs. Chesser brings a number of years of teaching experience in grades five through eight, as well as the experience gained home schooling two of her children in grades one through five. Since 1997 she has taught Math and Logic to students in grades 6 through 10, and has trained fellow teachers in the area of Logic, as well.
Mrs. Gwen Cicone – Art

Mr. John N. Cicone IV – Math & Physics
B.S. Civil Engineering, Drexel University. Mr. Cicone’s bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Drexel University provided extensive preparation for teaching math and physics. In addition, he has twelve years of industry experience as a civil and telecommunications engineer, which he uses to provide real life applications for the material. He has utilized his teaching gifts at church over the past 13 years and trained both coworkers and clients in his various positions in industry.
Pastor Greg Dutcher – Bible
M. Div. Biblical Theological Seminary, B.S. English, Towson State University. Mr. Dutcher is the pastor at Christ Fellowship Church in Fallston. Previously serving RCCS as Dean of the Logic and Rhetoric Schools, Mr. Dutcher brings a wealth of knowledge and wisdom about the Scriptures and how they apply to daily relationships. He has worked with youth in a variety of venues prior to becoming a pastor in 1997, and received The Senior Sermon Award at Biblical Theological Seminary in 1997. Mr. Dutcher now teaches Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey and Chapel.
Mrs. Angela Fischer – Latin & Logic
A.A., Dundalk Community College; An active member in her church community, Mrs. Angela Fischer has been teaching in the middle school age group for many years. She has great love for the areas of Latin and Logic, and is an asset to our faculty.
Mr. Isaac Gould – Humanities & Christian World View
M.A. Old Testament Studies, M.A. New Testament Studies from Gordon-Conwell Seminary; B.A. Pastoral Studies (Biblical Language emphasis) from Moody Bible Institute. He has formerly taught international students at a school in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, as well as in a variety of venues through the church.
Mrs. Esmeralda Kincer – Spanish
M.A. Old J.D. Law, and a M.A. in Criminal Law from the Universidad AuFano ma de Mexico, in Mexico City. In addition to practicing law, Mrs. Kincer has taught undergraduate classes in law at the university level. Fluent in Spanish, she teaches Spanish II though IV in the Upper School.
Mrs. Deborah Kozlowski – Biology & Chemistry
B.A. Biology, Covenant College. After receiving her degree in Biology, Mrs. Kozlowski spent much of her career in the corporate world in the area of Software Engineering. Prior to joining the faculty of RCCS in 2000, she gained a variety of experience in the classroom through her volunteer work with church and through a number of years as a substitute teacher in the Baltimore County School System. Mrs. Kozlowski has also been a Youth Group leader, and leader in the Pioneer Club at her church, and co-director of her church’s Vacation Bible School.
Mr. Jason Loveless – P.E.
B.A. Biblical Studies from Emmaus Bible College where he graduated on the Dean’s list. His experience includes working as a Senior counselor and summer Staff at Beachmont Christian Camp. Mr. Loveless has also worked with Christian youth groups since 2005.
Mrs. Debra Pattee – Humanities & Senior Thesis
M.A. Reading Ed; M.A. Theology; B.A. Elementary Ed. Mrs. Pattee came to Redeemer in 1997 with over fourteen years of teaching experience. In addition to her formal classroom experience, Mrs. Pattee has extensive experience from her roles as Sunday School Superintendent and Youth Director. In the past, she has also worked with Welfare Mothers, helping them to obtain G.E.D.’s
Mrs. Lauren Shaver – Music
M.S. Music Education, Towson State University, Maryland; B.S. Music Education, Towson State University, Maryland. Holding her certificate in Music education for grades K-12 in Maryland, Mrs. Shaver brings many years of combined public and private teaching experience to Redeemer. Pastor Ron Standiford – Rhetoric, Spanish & Apologetics
M. Div, M.A.R., Westminster Seminary, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; B.A. American University, School of Government and Public Administration. In addition to his responsibilities as teacher, Rev. Standiford is Pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church, and founding president of the RCCS Board of Directors. He has been active in historical organizations, and was a contributor to Villages, a publication of the Northeastern Historical Society. Rev. Standiford has studied law at the University of Baltimore, School of Law.
Mrs. Cathi Stevenson - English, Science and Geography
M.S. Language Development and Learning Disabilities, Johns Hopkins University; B.S., Sociology, Radford University, VA. Mrs. Stevenson is an experienced educator, with a Bachelor of Science from Radford University and a Masters’ degree in Language Development and Learning Disabilities from Johns Hopkins University. Prior to coming to RCCS, she taught in a variety of venues. She now teaches courses at both the Logic and Rhetoric levels.
Mrs. E. Gaill Thompson - French & Etiquette
Mrs. Thompson joins Redeemer with a wealth of language experience. Mrs. Thompson has taught French, Latin and Spanish to children in grades K through 5. In addition to her classroom work, Mrs. Thompson has conceptualized, authored and recorded a number of CD’s to reinforce classroom work. She has also authored a number of manuals currently in use, including teacher training, volunteer training, School/PTA manuals and school office manuals. Mrs. Thompson is also chair of our Language Department, and our Library Committee.
Mr. Luke Welch – Math, French & Computer
B.A. French and Biblical Languages, Oklahoma Univ. A National Merit Scholar in high school, Mr. Welch went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree in French and Biblical Languages from Oklahoma Baptist University. He has also completed nearly half of his Master’s of Divinity program at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis. In addition to service in the church and in missions to France, Mr. Welch taught at a classical and Christian school (the American School of Lyon, France) for 3 years, across many diverse subject areas, including Greek, Bible, computer and math. He also taught English as an outreach to the French-speaking members of the local community.
Mrs. Rhonda Ann Williams – Humanities & English
B.A. Art Concentration, Fredonia State University, Fredonia State University, New York, L.A.A., Liberal Arts. In addition to her strong history of student advocacy (mentoring, tutoring and coaching), Mrs. Williams brings experience teaching at various grade levels to Redeemer. Mrs. Williams has successfully taught students from pre-school to high school. She has also served in children’s’ ministry for several years and presently leads a Bible study with her husband.
